MATURE SKIN
Skin aging is a part of life, however there are ways to slow down the process by taking care of your mature skin.
What is mature skin?
Mature skin is skin that is beginning to feel the effects of aging. If the skin begins to age from the age of 30 with the appearance of the first wrinkles and fine lines, the marks of time are only visible from the age of 40-50: wrinkles, pigmented spots, sagging skin are more marked . The skin loses its density and slackens. The epidermis thins and the surface of the skin becomes drier.
OUR BEAUTY ROUTINE
THE MORNING
Tone, cleanse
I use a hydrosol or moisturizing lotion to cleanse my skin, brighten my complexion and refresh my face. Hydrosols with rose, chamomile and probiotics. To be sprayed directly on the face. The use of cotton can be abrasive. Applying a hydrosol in the morning avoids cleaning with often calcareous water which will eventually dry out the skin. The vaporization of a hydrosol easily replaces cleaning with water.
The anti-wrinkle eye contour to open up your eyes
I apply an anti-wrinkle and plumping eye contour serum to hyaluronic acid to open the eyes and limit the appearance of crow's feet wrinkles. Thanks to its concentration of active ingredients, often higher than a cream or milk, the serum completes the facial treatment. It is always applied before the day cream.
Moisturize and protect the face
I apply an antioxidant and anti-wrinkle day cream that will boost collagen production and plump up the skin. Shea butter creams
THE EVENING
Cleanse the skin
I remove my makeup and cleanse my face with an oily beaume to remove excess makeup and impurities accumulated during the day.
Anti-aging serum
I use a global anti-aging serum for my face under my night cream.
Nourish and plump deeply
I apply a nourishing, plumping and anti-dark spot night cream to redefine the oval of the face and limit hyperpigmentation.
ONCE A WEEK
A depolluting mask
I make a depolluting “cream” mask. Apply the mask to damp skin. Massage lightly to spread the mask. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove excess with a tissue or reusable cotton wipe.

Food also plays a role in skin aging. An insufficiently balanced diet, insufficiently provided with vitamins A, E, C, in trace elements, in omega 3 and 6 (Omega 3 are fatty acids, beneficial for health in several respects. They are polyunsaturated fatty acids, that is to say fatty acids with multiple double bonds on their carbon atoms) deprive the organs of the means of defense against daily oxidation, with the consequences on the skin that we mentioned earlier.
Another well-known aging factor, the tobacco. Source of oxidative stress, Tobacco decreases cell oxygenation. The effect of tobacco on the skin is even more harmful when it is combined with the action of the sun.
Does menopause have an impact on skin aging?
The decrease in estrogen related to menopause has repercussions on the dermis: dry skin or conversely oily skin and acne due to androgen excess, these male hormones. But these inconveniences are not systematic, the impact varying from one woman to another.
What to avoid & what to do...
The harms of the sun, tobacco and diet
We know that the sun is the skin's number one enemy and the main aggravating factor in skin aging. When you are in the sun, a huge amount of free radicals attack skin cells, their cell membranes and their DNA. In the long term, the sun causes irreversible damage. Hence the importance of protecting yourself by avoiding exposure between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., by using protective sun creams and not just at the beach.
Another well-known aging factor, the tobacco. Source of oxidative stress, Tobacco decreases cell oxygenation. The effect of tobacco on the skin is even more harmful when it is combined with the action of the sun.

What beauty routine should you adopt?
Natural cosmetic care can help the skin defend itself against what causes it to age.
How ? By protecting the skin from the sun (sun filters), helping it fight against external aggressions and oxidative stress (care based on vitamins C, vitamins E, vitamin A).
What are the most effective beauty procedures?
- Cleaning. We prefer products formulated for sensitive skin. The must: clean your face in the morning and evening with a very gentle formula.
Avoid: Soaps, alcohol-based micellar waters. Too detergents, they dry out the skin even more. We therefore avoid drying products that delipidate and attack the skin.
- Hydration. Hydrating your skin well will make up for the lack of lipids, the glue between the skin cells. We fight against the dryness of the skin with nourishing treatments that will reconstitute the epidermal barrier: day creams based on ceramide, fatty acids, shea...
Mature skin: skin that tends to be dry, dehydrated and lacking in collagen
Vegetable oils suitable for mature skin are: antioxidant, firming, nourishing and calming oils. As we age, the skin on the face becomes dehydrated and thinner, the hydrolipidic film weakens. It becomes more vulnerable to external aggressions. It then risks becoming sensitive (which causes tightness and discomfort), and then causes the appearance of wrinkles, dark circles and spots.
The queens of anti-aging skincare are the essential oils of Damask Rose, Immortelle, Sea Buckthorn, They will be combined in revitalizing serums with precious vegetable oils such as oils Argan, Rosehip, Evening Primrose, Borage, Prickly Pear.
In addition to the day cream, you can also use a night treatment. More nourishing than day cream, it will help the skin repair itself. You can also use night cream during the day for particularly dry skin or simply put 2 to 3 drops of oils suitable for mature skin in the cream.
The ideal remains the use of anti-aging treatments based on antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin A.. These anti-aging active ingredients will stimulate the production of collagen and restore thickness to the epidermis. Many day creams and night creams contain it.
After classic treatments, you may want to provide treatments that are more concentrated in active ingredients: this is the role of the serum. These treatments which are applied before the day cream will boost the protection mechanisms against free radicals.
Finally, to preserve the eye contour, a very fragile area that is marked quickly, there are treatments specially adapted to the eye contours: the active ingredients can fade crow's feet and dark circles.
Dark circles, fine lines: how to have a more youthful look.
Anti-aging: is hyaluronic acid effective?
Hyaluronic acid is the main component of the dermis. It is a natural substance capable of retaining a large amount of water and thus ensures the hydration of the dermis. It is widely used in cosmetology to fill in wrinkles.
Hyaluronic acid-based creams are easily found. But hyaluronic acid molecules are actually too large to penetrate the dermis. They will have a “hydration” effect on the surface that is only very temporary. It’s “Cinderella” hydration.
More effective are creams or serums containing low molecular weight fragmented hyaluronic acid. Here the molecules are cut and penetrate more easily into the depths of the dermis. Daily use will firm the skin and reduce wrinkles.
