SENSITIVE & REACTIVE SKIN

The concept of “sensitive” skin, “reactive” skin corresponds to skin hyperreactivity.
It is a lowering of the skin's tolerance threshold, at a given time. It mainly concerns the face, more rarely the scalp, the extremities or other parts of the body. Sensitive skin is very common, present in about 50% of women and 30% of men.

Sensitive skin is not a "type" of skin, but rather a condition of the epidermis. Thus, a person with dry or oily skin may very well have reactive skin at some point in their life..

Do you have sensitive skin?

  • You feel signs of skin discomfort such as tingling, burning sensations, tingling, tightness.

In the case of skin that is reactive to cosmetics, these signs may appear immediately after applying the product or a few hours later.

  • You notice a fine desquamation, an inconspicuous erythema, fleeting redness...

It is important to take care of sensitive skin, as it risks developing into irritant dermatitis. However, irritated skin facilitates the percutaneous penetration of allergens and therefore can lead to sensitization and then to allergic dermatitis.

OUR BEAUTY ROUTINE

What to avoid & what to do...

  • Avoid tap water as much as possible, as it is often rich in limescale.
In the morning, gently cleanse your skin with a very gentle cleanser to remove all impurities accumulated on the surface of your epidermis. Then, use a moisturizing and soothing cream which will act as a protective film throughout the day against external aggressions.
  • Avoid using too many cosmetic products on your skin if it suffers from hypersensitivity. If you are a fan of makeup; make sure the makeup products used are light in texture and moisturizing, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.
  • In the evening, it is imperative to remove makeup in order to cleanse the skin and let it breathe. Once again, opt for a product suitable for intolerant skin. Avoid the use of cotton which has an abrasive effect.

They risk being too abrasive and will further weaken the epidermis. Finally, to delicately beautify your complexion without damaging it, it is recommended to consume food supplements. These capsules will help you take care of your skin effectively.

PREFERRED PRODUCTS

Reactive skin requires very high tolerance soothing care. These treatments are specific and require an adequate formulation with a rigorous choice of ingredients.

For what ? To avoid potential irritation or severe skin reactions. The active elements of the products you use must soothe irritations of your skin instantly, nourish it intensely and bring you a real feeling of comfort.

Consequently, it is strongly recommended favor moisturizing agents that will considerably reduce the evaporation of water on the skin.

You must also repair the protective barrier of your epidermis by using repairing agents such as fatty acids, nourishing oils, but also ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, known for its moisturizing action and its repairing effects.

It is still preferable to use fragrance-free products to avoid irritation.

Finally, to calm itching and eliminate redness, use products containing soothing and anti-irritant ingredients such as immortelle, calendula, rose, hyaluronic acid, manuka honey
