Madara is an organic skincare brand created from the firm desire of four lovely Latvian women to live a greener and cleaner lifestyle. The collection has been inspired by the dense Latvian forests and highly adaptable flora that grows there with its abundant bio-active substances. These natural extracts from Baltic plants form the foundation of Madara organic cosmetics, which are especially powerful and skin compatible.

Madara is certified natural and organic according to the international Ecocert standard. Their products are free from synthetic perfumes, synthetic preservatives like parabens, mineral oil, propylene glycol and many other synthetic ingredients. Products are not tested on animals and are examined by certified dermatologists and trialed by volunteers. The effectiveness of Madara products has been dermatologically tested. Most products are vegan and gluten free. Made in Lativia.

ECOCERT is a standard for "Ecological and organic cosmetics"
The fundamental principles of the ECOCERT standard
To guarantee a cosmetic product that respects the environment, the ECOCERT standard requires:
1. The use of ingredients from renewable resources and transformed by processes that respect the environment. ECOCERT therefore verifies: The absence of GMOs, parabens, phenoxyethanol, nanoparticles, silicone, PEG, synthetic fragrances and dyes, ingredients from animals (except produced naturally by them: milk, honey, etc.) The biodegradable or recyclable nature of packaging
2. A minimum threshold of natural and organic ingredients to be reached to obtain certification: In all cases, a minimum of 95% of the total ingredients must be natural or of natural origin.

For the Organic Cosmetics label:
– 95% minimum of the plant ingredients of the formula must come from organic farming
– 10% minimum of the total ingredients must come from organic farming
