THE TINTING PIGMENT

Roucou – Bixa Orellana – also called Wantura in the Quechua language is a sacred plant for the peoples of Amazonia. Described as the "eternal bush" bordering the road to paradise, they use it as body paint, as for the dyeing of their basketry.

Used to fight against oxidative stress, it makes up “Tascalate”, a traditional Mexican drink.
